Product Details

The high-performance extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation board is a rigid panel made from polystyrene resin, continuously extruded and foamed through a special process. It features an internal structure of independent, sealed air bubbles. This environmentally friendly insulation material boasts excellent properties, including high compressive strength, non-absorbent, moisture-resistant, impermeable to air, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, long service life, and a low thermal conductivity coefficient.
The high-performance extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation board is widely used for wall insulation, thermal insulation of flat concrete roofs and steel-structure roofs, as well as moisture-proof and thermal insulation in areas such as low-temperature storage floors, parking platforms, airport runways, and highways. It effectively controls ground frost heave and is currently the most cost-effective and high-quality thermal and moisture-insulating material in the construction industry.
Our high-quality, extruded polystyrene (XPS) B1-grade products are manufactured using premium, heat-resistant flame retardants and equipped with a world-leading flame-retardant mixer-conveyor system. This system ensures that the flame retardant is evenly distributed throughout the main material within the processing machine, achieving a thoroughly uniform blend. This completely resolves the issue of uneven flame-retardant distribution commonly found in other domestic manufacturers. The B1-grade products we produce fully comply with national standards, putting your mind at ease.
Hua Mei extruded boards are a series of products specially developed through advanced processing techniques to meet the standards for exterior wall insulation systems. These systems feature a textured surface for thin-coat exterior wall insulation—either a brushed finish (including coarse and fine brushing) or a double-sided grooved surface layer (commonly referred to as the "sandwich process"). Their key characteristics include convenient construction, increased bonding area between the adhesive mortar and the substrate, and enhanced bonding strength. As a result, these systems deliver superior stability, weather resistance, and durability for exterior wall insulation systems, making them the optimal choice for exterior wall insulation materials.

Excellent and long-lasting thermal insulation performance
The thermal conductivity of Hua Mei extruded boards is 0.028 W/m·K, and they feature high thermal resistance and a low linear expansion rate. Their thermal conductivity is significantly lower than that of other insulation materials, such as EPS boards, foamed polyurethane, insulating mortar, and cement perlite. Moreover, thanks to the material’s stable chemical and physical structure, its thermal insulation performance remains durable and consistent over time. As a result, this material ranks among the world’s finest building insulation materials available today.
Superior water resistance and moisture protection
The Huamei extruded board features a dense, closed-cell structure. The polystyrene molecular structure itself is inherently non-absorbent, and since both the front and back surfaces of the board are completely seamless, its water absorption rate is extremely low, giving it excellent moisture resistance and impermeability.
High-intensity compression resistance
Due to its tightly interconnected foam structure with no gaps between walls, the Huamei extruded board boasts extremely high compressive strength and remains stable even after prolonged immersion in water. Therefore, it is well-suited for applications such as parking platforms, airport runways, and highways, where it can withstand significant impact forces.
Corrosion resistance and durability
Typical rigid foam insulation materials tend to age after a few years of use, which in turn leads to water absorption and a decline in performance. However, Huamei extruded boards, thanks to their outstanding corrosion resistance, anti-aging properties, and thermal insulation capabilities, can still maintain their superior performance even under high vapor pressure conditions.
High-quality, eco-friendly
The high-quality extruded polystyrene board does not decompose or become moldy, does not emit harmful substances, and boasts stable chemical properties. Moreover, during the manufacturing process, it employs internationally advanced CO2 foaming technology, replacing the traditional fluorocarbon foaming method and thus avoiding damage to the atmospheric ozone layer. Made from environmentally friendly raw materials, it produces no harmful gases and generates no wastewater. The solid waste generated during production can be recycled and reused, making it a high-quality, eco-friendly product.
Lightweight, high hardness
The fully closed-cell foam structure of Huamei extruded boards creates a lightweight, uniform honeycomb structure that results in high hardness. Yet unlike polyurethane or phenolic foams, this material is not brittle, making it highly resistant to damage. As a result, it’s not only easy to handle and install but also simple to cut. When used for roof insulation, it does not compromise the structural load-bearing capacity of the building.
