Product Details

In today’s era of rapid technological advancement, the creation of high-quality products is inseparable from advanced, precision equipment and premium raw materials. Huamei Group’s partnerships with internationally renowned suppliers of high-quality raw materials and its commitment to state-of-the-art equipment have enabled us to forge products with unparalleled advantages.
Huamei Group has established a comprehensive raw-material supply system. We carefully select raw materials that meet the required standards, precisely weigh and blend them, and subject them to rigorous intermediate-process controls and stringent final-product inspections, ensuring that our product performance indicators far exceed the requirements of GB/T 17794-2008.
Low thermal conductivity The thermal conductivity is an important indicator for measuring the insulation performance of thermal insulation materials. The lower the thermal conductivity, the better the insulation performance. At an average temperature of 0℃, this material has a thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/m·K. Moreover, it features a high surface heat transfer coefficient. Therefore, under the same external conditions, using this product—despite its relatively thin thickness—can achieve the same insulation effect as conventional thermal insulation materials.
Good flame retardancy
According to the "Code for Fire Protection Design of Building Structures" and the "Code for Fire Protection Design of High-Rise Civil Buildings," insulation materials used for pipelines and equipment must be non-combustible or hardly combustible. This material contains a large amount of flame-retardant and smoke-suppressing ingredients; when burned, it produces extremely low smoke concentration. Moreover, it does not melt upon exposure to fire and will not drip, forming flaming droplets. The material exhibits self-extinguishing properties.
According to GB8624-2012 “Classification of Fire Performance of Building Materials and Products,” the performance indicators of Huamei Class 1 products far exceed the national standard, which stipulates that building products must have a fire performance rating of no lower than Grade C. This ensures safety and reliability.
Good seismic performance
Huamei-brand rubber and plastic thermal insulation materials have high elasticity, which enables them to minimize vibration and resonance in chilled water and hot water pipelines during operation.
Closed-cell foam with excellent moisture resistance.
Glass fiber The open-cell structure has an extremely high vapor permeability, which causes the thermal conductivity to increase over time as usage continues, significantly reducing the insulation performance.
Foamed Polyethylene (PEF)
The honeycomb structure has a relatively high vapor permeability. Its material is hard and brittle, making it prone to damage and resulting in a short service life.
Huamei Rubber & Plastic
Featuring a fully enclosed-cell foam structure, all the foam cells are independent and completely isolated from one another. These mutually independent air bubbles form a sealed air layer, effectively enhancing the product’s thermal insulation performance. Moreover, the independent, sealed bubble structure provides multiple barriers against water vapor molecules. Even if the material’s surface is damaged, this structure prevents moisture from penetrating deep into the material, thereby ensuring that the product’s thermal insulation performance remains stable over the long term. Under the same conditions, water has a thermal conductivity 24 times higher than that of air. In contrast, materials with non-closed-cell structures, once their surface is damaged, allow moisture to seep into the material interior, causing them to lose their insulating effectiveness.
Good flexibility
Huamei-brand rubber and plastic materials feature excellent flexibility and toughness, making them easy to work with during installation on curved and irregular pipes, and helping to save labor and materials.
Easy to install, aesthetically pleasing.
Thanks to its exceptional softness, this product is easy and convenient to install. For pipe installation, you can either slide it onto the pipes and install them together, or longitudinally cut the pipe material and then join the pieces using adhesive. For complex components such as valves, tees, and elbows, you can cut the sheet material into appropriate shapes and wrap them around these parts, ensuring a tight seal throughout the entire system and thereby guaranteeing excellent thermal insulation. Moreover, due to the smooth, even surface of this material—similar to rubber—and its outstanding inherent properties, there’s no need to add an additional vapor barrier or protective layer, which simplifies the installation process and ensures a sleek, aesthetically pleasing finish.
When equipment or pipelines are being repaired, the material stripped off can be reused without any change in performance.
Other advantages Huamei elastomeric insulation materials are extremely safe to use—they neither irritate the skin nor pose any health risks. They effectively prevent mold growth and exhibit excellent resistance to both acids and alkalis, delivering superior performance. These outstanding properties make Huamei elastomeric insulation an ideal choice for protecting pipelines from corrosion caused by atmospheric agents or industrial environments.

Factors to consider when determining the thickness of insulation materials:
1. The higher the ambient temperature, the thicker the material;
2. The higher the relative humidity, the thicker the material;
3. The lower the medium temperature, the thicker the material;
4. The larger the pipe diameter, the thicker the material.
